He is considered one of the most experienced and qualified podiatrists-podiatrists available in our country.

Graduated from Salford University (Manchester, U.K.) with BSc Podiatry (1998) and postgraduate studies in Podopaediatrics (Glasgow) and in Diabetic Foot - ulcer healing & Tissue Viability (Cardiff). Scientific collaborator with the Diabetes Centre at Tzanion Hospital (1998-2007), and at the Polyclinic of the Olympic Village at the Athens Olympic Games (2004).

 He has presented talks / papers in several conferences abroad and in Greece, and has received an award from the Athens Medical Society for his research work (2006).

He collaborates with the private University of Podiatry (Metropolitan) delivering courses, while he always tries to keep up to date on everything concerning the lower limb, attending various seminars including : Kinesiotape, Acupuncture, Sotai, Foot Mobilisation, Ear Acupressure and pain relief, Biomechanics, Tool assisted therapy etc.

He practices privately in the South Suburbs, is a member of the British Association of Podiatrists, among others, and is registered with the Health & Care Profession Council (HCPC) where he is tested for fitness to practise.

Since 2016 he is a fellow at the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow FFPM RCPS (Glasg.)

President of the Scientific Committee of the European Podiatric Foot and Ankle Society 2007-2013.

President of the Greek Society of Podocnemiology in 2007.

Director of the Fit Feet Clinic at the World Special Olympics Athens 2011.

European accreditation for Foot Foot Surgery in Greece.

Vice President of the Hellenic Police Athletic Association 2014.

Postgraduate training for two years in the USA, at the Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York University and Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore Visiting Professor Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York University.

Training at the aforementioned Hospital in the Medicine of Dance and Performing Arts Disorders at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, Hospital for Joint Diseases new York University.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology for three years (1995-96, 2000-01, 2001-02).

Takvorian Maria is a doctor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatrist). She is a graduate of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a graduate of the Military Corps School.

She is the director of the Physiotherapy Department at the Athens Central Clinics of the Hellenic Police.

She is also the scientific director of the Physiatric Department of the Model Centre for Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Diseases "ORTHO REHAB".

The doctor, after completing her specialization at the FIAP clinic of the Asclepius Voula General Hospital, continued her training at the Tor Vergata University Hospital in Rome, where she specialized in the treatment of sports injuries, the use of ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system (certified by the Ministry of Health), and mesotherapy.

She is a graduate of ACU SCIENCE (Athens International Postgraduate Acupuncture Center) and has been trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Otoacupuncture. He has attended the Algology training program of the Hellenic Society of Anesthesiology and has been trained in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of Spinal and Limb Diseases (McKENZIE), in the therapeutic use of Shock Waves (ESWT) and in Prolotherapy.

Maria Takvorian holds the European qualification of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (FEBPRM).
